Where in Bahrain can you find the quirkiest milkshakes? Or a grilled cheese sandwich "brick" of a burger? Or the most succulent grilled chicken sandwich ever? Answer: Blaze Burgers. Ever since they opened their smokey greasy doors to the public, the public have been hungry for more.
You can find Blaze in the alleyways of the delicious block 338, just a few steps from the refinement of Lilou's and the pompous yuminess of Coco's (we'll get to that later.) Almost everyone is well acquainted with Blaze Burgers by now, but nonetheless I'll share with you my favorite order. Every time I try to change I just can't. I get the Grilled Chicken sandwich on wheat with Inter-state sauce. Chik-fil-a's got nothing on this! They have a myriad of other sauces too. My sister likes the Green Ranch option with her chicken sandwich.
If you're going for the burger, and you're particularly famished, order the "6abooga"...roughly translated, they call it the brick. Once a monthly special, this burger had such a high demand they decided to include it in their menu permanently. After having a few bites of this monstrosity you'll probably feel like you're on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! This greasy mess is actually very very delicious. The meat (succulent), the sauce (tangy and creamy), the veg (one expert says order it without lettuce; it's already big enough as it is. And don't kid yourself. Omitting the lettuce doesn't mean you're being any less healthy. You sign a deal with your own devil the minute you decide to order this.)
Forever a sweet tooth, I occasionally like to try the milkshakes...occasionally. A firm favorite will always be the Strawberry milkshake. But the other wacky flavors are also worth trying, namely the balaleet milkshake. I personally am not a fan of actual balaleet (see the Saffron review) BUT, as a milkshake, it was rather enjoyable.
For a fantastic burger, and yes, good value for money (this is not a franchise; its as fresh as fresh can get) head to Blaze Burgers...or call they do deliver.
